Last week, the SpatialGen team headed to the Apple Developer Center in Cupertino to showcase how we’re handling the heavy lifting for the next generation of immersive media. As the Apple Vision Pro ecosystem matures, the demand for high-fidelity spatial content is skyrocketing, and we went to Apple’s backyard to show exactly how we’re meeting that demand.
Our co-founder, Zachary Handshoe, took the stage to address a room full of creators, developers, and engineers. The core of our presentation was simple: the next generation of media deserves a platform built for spatial computing from the beginning.

Spatial Media
While capturing “Apple Immersive Video” or 16K stereoscopic feeds is a feat of modern cinematography, delivering those massive files to end-users is an entirely different beast. At the event, we highlighted how SpatialGen is solving the most critical bottlenecks in the spatial pipeline:
-
Our Desktop Uploader App: We showcased our streamlined uploader designed specifically for massive files. It handles the complexities of preparing and moving multi-terabyte spatial assets from a local machine to our cloud without the friction usually found in traditional web uploads.
-
The SpatialGen API: We highlighted how developers are using our API to bake spatial video capabilities directly into their own products. From automated transcoding to managing video releases, the API is the engine under the hood for visionOS apps.
-
Support for Multi-Terabyte Files: Immersive video is heavy. We discussed our infrastructure’s capability to ingest and process multi-terabyte files, a necessity for high-resolution 180° and 360° productions that would choke standard video platforms.
-
Powering Our Customers: We shared success stories from the companies currently using SpatialGen to distribute their content. Seeing how our tools are being used in the field to reach Vision Pro users provides the best blueprint for where we’re heading next.
Why Cupertino Matters
Presenting at the Apple Developer Center provided a great opportunity to connect directly with the engineers and creators who are building this spatial future. The industry needs a reliable, high-performance pipeline to move content from the camera to the headset without losing quality or wasting time.
SpatialGen is the infrastructure for the spatial computing era.
