Welcoming Colonel Jason Kirby (USAF, Ret.) to SpatialGen

While much of our early public success has focused on bringing the magic of courtside NBA seats to the Apple Vision Pro, a parallel revolution has been happening behind the scenes: the application of spatial intelligence to national defense.

We are proud to announce that Colonel Jason Kirby (USAF, Ret.) has joined SpatialGen as a Strategic Advisor.

Jason brings over 25 years of experience in both defense tech and special operations.

The Record

As a US Air Force Colonel, Jason commanded all Air Force special operations in the Indo-Pacific and was the Deputy Director for Air Force special operations worldwide, including a $1Bn portfolio, 19,000 personnel, and a fleet of 270 combat aircraft.

Jason’s career has been defined by high-stakes execution:

• The Pentagon: Jason coordinated the authorities leading to the elimination of Osama bin Laden.

• Special Tactics: Jason’s teams led the internationally-acclaimed rescue of a Thai soccer team from the Tham Luang cave system in 2018, featured in several blockbuster film releases.

• The Callsign: Jason was given the honorific callsign, ‘Diesel’ after completing Air Force Weapons School, the equivalent of ‘Top Gun’.

Jason has delivered AI/ML defense and commercial software solutions since 2021. As COO at a leading defense AO company, he led the revenue and operations teams in the defense and commercial industry verticals, securing multiyear indefinite delivery contracts with the US Army, US Air Force, US Special Operations and the Intelligence Community.
