Handling enormous file sizes, large compute demands, and maintaining top-tier video quality are just a few of the technical hurdles involved in supporting such an innovative app. Through talks with James, SpatialGen was getting a welcome to the jungle of immersive video.
SpatialGen’s Solution
We built SpatialGen to address the challenges of next-generation video. With Explore POV, we worked closely to integrate our powerful video streaming infrastructure into their app, ensuring the videos look as stunning in motion as they do when captured. We doubled our supported resolutions from 8K to 16K, and collaborated directly with James to find the best bitrate ladder for his videos.
To support Explore POV’s vision, we implemented:
- Increased Streaming Support: Our platform preivously maxed out at 8K, so we doubled our supported resolutions to 16K immersive video.
- Optimized Processing Times: We reduced the time required to prepare video streams by over 10 times, allowing for faster encoding.
